There was a 159 s 1.497 litre / 90.3 cu in 2 valve per cylinder /sohc twin roots type superchargers straight eight producing 425+hp 287 bhp per litre top speed 310 kmp/h 4 built in 1951.

The 84 159i is the last of the Alfetta 4 door shaped cars, before the 75 and the 90. As far as I know they were produced in 2l 8v form. The V6 in Kevin's is no drought a latter enhancement. These cars came with all the bells and whistles, electric windows, mirrors and electrically adjustable seats...I think the engine also slightly higher compression than the GTV 2l, with hydraulically adjusting valve timing. We had these cars available till 85, when Alfa withdrew from South Africa.
