Hey B. well i could only get 40mm steam pipe mandrel bends, i dont think 2mm will make that much difference. As for the collectors i was assured they wont crack. Guy who supplied collectors has done alot of turbo jobs so they are fine. But might look into steam pipe collectors, cheers Baz.

a tip on using non-italian-specialsist shops...
pazzo and I have a mutual freind who has used a shop well known for there work on VL Turbos(Holden Commodores with Nissan 3 litre Turbo Engines) to tune his turbo Fiat...
And yes... not the best results

If you plan on using a non-italian specialist you could go to a Mazda rotary turbo specialist. these are very fragile engines when it comes to timing, ignition and stuff. they are used to working very precise on fragile engines with expensive components.
good luck with it! We're all waiting for the results.

ah yes drew not to name any names but like you said not too good at all. garth looks like in a few weeks we will all have to have some sort of mini meet up or something just to all catch up. my brother recently sold his 06 wrx in favour for a 06 147 gta so weve been looking for an excuse to meet up with evryone all over again. i take it monza is putting in the motor? then what are you going to put all the manifolds and stuff on or is he while he is there? pretty exciting when the car gets to these stages isnt it, dont worry youll have a few more sleepness nights.

Wow, yeah i will be careful where i get it tuned, thanks guys.
Patzo engine is being put together and installed by Monza, i'll be going in to put turbo in and manifolds, and hook up the braided oil and water lines.
I was originally going to do most of this in garage, but car has taken way too long to be finished, so having it in at shop will quicken things up. Also i just mig welded my manifolds, tig is too slow, and just use my tig for the alloy. Basically all that is left is the fuel pump, 3" exhaust dump from rear turbo to exhaust. Once engine is in, wont take long at all to get her fired up.
Patzo so right about sleepless nights.
Giuliettaevo2- Yeah i was thinking the same awhile ago, there is a very good rotary tuning shop here, and they dont just do rotarys and are well known, so still thinking about going there....

Hi all, has been a little while, but basically i've spent the last 6 weeks solid on my car to have it finished.
We fired her up last week Friday, and i drove her the short distance to the exhaust shop, only drove it with dump off turbo which just sits past firewall, so no mufflers, was loud, but sound of turbo spooling up soon took over. So basically after nearly a year i'm back and the car has had a re-birth to say the least. As i'm writing this my car is at exhaust shop, so hopefully i get a call today to go pick her up. My first concern was with the bov, thinking i hope its not too loud, but thats adjustable so i turned it so i could barely hear it, but the turbo gives everything away, its sounds like a bloody aeroplane is running along side me when boost kicks in, and it kicks in very early, i just tap the pedal and the response is ridiculous. And thats with original injection, car just loves it.
Anyway i'm on a friends pc atm, so cant send any pics, but will have for you all shortly!
