Wow - what a sound! I can only imagine how that v6 is going to fly.

Here's the link I found your video at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCz0uc7gm-w

You have to love the bid RED light on the dash ... I don't know how many people have asked me, "what's wrong?" over the years. :)

congrats!

No clearance issues at all anywhere which is great, plenty of room for everything in the end.

To answer afew earlier asked questions, i'm running abit of wasted spark from the dizzy. Also running a very conservative ignition map for starters, so will see what power numbers we get from around 8-9psi on the dyno.
Regarding knock sensor, its there also to help with ignition advance also, i think thats right...
All wiring is in conduit, so engine bay is alot cleaner. Was good yesterday to see the computer talk to engine from laptop, hearing the fuel pump kick in, injectors run and bleed off valve go click was cool. Will talk more about ecu soon.

Back soon.

Pic of square to round turbo seat

Dont have updated pics with me, so thought i'd give a quick update on the latest...
After running car we realised we had a faulty injector, happened on the friday, so wont be happening till Mon. Also had faulty leads, and rotor cap and rotor were burnt out, so new high performance leads and rotor cap and rotor. Not what i needed at this point of the build, for the labour is hurting me abit, makes me wonder what ive saved from the work i did myself, thousands of dollars easy. So this is the last little hurdle to get over, and hopefully will be finished. If on Monday we get it going and its ready to hit the road, then will have some footage for you of that.
Will send updated pics in a day or too.
Hope your all well!

Latest news...injectors were tested and are fine, but one of the plugs to a injector wasnt, so thats being replaced. I've had alot of hurdles with this ecu,not the ecu's fault, damn car just doesnt like it,so alot of problem solving, and after a week i'm not much closer, so hopefully things get sorted for i simply cant afford another week of labour, which is on top of last week which also wasnt meant to happen, so problems galore, but of course will be worth it...

It's looking good Garth. These sort of builds always seem to grow in scope and cost, I know what you are going through.

Even though its the first manifold i've ever made, it flows very well,
its strong, no vibrations, and will last, and shouldnt crack.
When i have spare time i'm going to make another set of manifolds
with 32mm runners, before eventually flowing to 50mm which hits turbo hard,
that i'll do next year. hope you like pics, next time i'm on it will be with video.
Ciao all.

Wrong? Nothing wrong per se. It's just saying "Warning - Simply too addictive to drive right now, ease off or forever be enslaved to the awesomeness of this car".

Or something like that anyway, which is obviously why we ignore it now

OT: You'll get there eventually! You've gotten further than me, my S/C is still sitting on my desk looking pretty, soon I shall have more time.

Well what can i say, the car is insane, even on low boost, the torque is incredible, i'm smitten to say the least. I've just done a drive by with a friend filming to show you all that the car is going well, even though its running a rich fuel map, etc, its very powerful, i need better spark plugs!
Anyway will post the vid hopefully tomorrow, i dont have the usb cord for the camera here.

Can anyone help me in getting an original drivers side headlight for my car..?
Wind blew mine off roof whilst at mechanics and smashed, so i have a dummy one in there atm so i can drive thru the day, but night driving is off till i can get one...and i'm dying for a midnight run.... :D

Any help, greatly appreciated!! Oh, has to be cheap if possible!!

Regards,
g

I couldnt help myself, i went back home, got the usb cable and came back here to upload video on youtube.

Car is running low boost, very conservative fuel and ignition maps, but will turn boost up and take some fuel out next week, once engine is run in, then will hit the rollers again with 1bar boost, that i look forward to seeing that i missed the first one with the Adaptronic guys.
Hope you like the quick vid, will have some in car stuff soon.

It still feels abit surreal, after so much time, good and bad times, its finished, and getting in it now brings excitement, well more so, and now i can tinker with it...Was funny whilst talking to someone yesterday he said i should have put a 24v Quad Cam engine in, he said i will have 200hp at the wheels...i thought to myself, with the torque this engine is now making, even on low boost, was making nearly 100nm more torque than the standard 24v on the rollers in 4th gear! So the turbo is very efficient and spools beautifully.
1 bar boost on this thing will be plenty, its toey to drive as it is...

here's the vid... :) http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=o6PV84WqGGk
Its very short, but for a first it hits the average mark. Speed humps between the run lol.

Regards,
Garth.
