You guys should have a look at the PLX devices R500.

Wideband lambda controller with built in knock sensing. you can even connect headphones to listen to the sensor output.

Will let you record the background noise of the engine by recording a run from 500rpm to redline, then when you start logging propperly, it will only show/log the additional noise.

Same job as the Innovate, bit with built in knock sensing.

My V6 (Q4) has 2 knock sensors. Why not just copy the positions. Maybe Alfa engineers got it right this time.

Usually is found in between the runners on the intake manifold. Sounds like a decent location, not too hot and still in good mechanical contact with the head.
