I guess you're talking about the small aluminium cap that goes over the coils?

Don't know what the freight costs would be but i have one of those covers for free if you're interested.. :P

I mean one of these:

My engine is either from a '94 or '95 164LS if that matters.
Do you have one?

Check... :)

I won't be fitting that on to my 24v since i'm going the JK route with the intake and it would look silly to have only one of these on the engine since there is no such thing for the other side. :(

It doesn't weigh much so if you Pm me your adress i'll mail it to you free of charge, consider it a small contribution to the forum.

Mine came from a '95 so should be allright.

Hi Michael:

I am glad you are on the home stretch with this project. It's too bad you ran into so many problems with what was thought to be a drop in swap.

At the time I sold you those couplers I only had yellow. I have a lot of other choices now, so if you need red, black, let me know. I will make you a good deal. Yellow just looks out of place to me on that car.

If you use the 75 plenum, you can use two of those ribbed coil covers (two identical ones). One will of course be in the original place. The other can be fixed with some minor work on the other bank, so that the logo is properly oriented. The reason I chose not to use them is for better heat radiation. If the cables are tidy and the valve covers have been painted, it doesn't look bad either!

Yes, Petros bond's GTV6 3.2 has both covers. Check his car in the intro section.

I'm going for 'cleaned' camcovers, i'll grind off all stubs and fill all holes before i sand and paint them. I won't be using the original 24v coils so the mounting points for them will also be removed and flattened.

With the 75 inletplenum and a DIS coil with nice plugleads this gives the engine a nice classic/clean look i think. :D kind of how Alfa should have made a 75 24v engine. 8)

Michael , some pics of left cam cover options which Joe has kindly posted for me . The one car has coil packs while other has custom leads made so they fit perfectly under cover .

So Michael has done a butt load of engineering on this GTV6, and done a great job I might add. But you know what ? He also had a fun time ringing its neck at the last NWARC track day at Pacific Raceway. As far as I can tell it ran great and he always had a smile on his face. Me too. Loved running on the track with Michael. It was a nice day and neither of us had any problems of note. Just drive, talk with everyone when not on the track, then back in the seat again for more laps. My kind of day.

I heartily agree Merril - it was an excellent lapping day :D
The GoPro video I shot that day has proven to be pretty good - only problem is that I mounted the camera on the outside of the car so the audio sucks.
Next track day, I'll figure out how to mount it on the inside of the car...
