Alfa Romeo returns to the US

Post by Nick »

There was an announcement today, by Sergio Marchionne of FIAT.

It should happen around the third quarter of 2006.

Here is a brief quote from the Corriere Della Sera online:

L'annuncio dell'amministratore delegato Fiat, Sergio Marchionne

TORINO - «Alfa Romeo tornerà negli Stati Uniti».

There's not so much Fiat left in the new Alfa's either.
Now it's even worse with GM engines....

The engines are supposed to be pretty good though, according to friends of mine that have testdriven the new 159.

Fingers crossed Alfa managed to make something decent out of them. The same engines are used here and the cars they come from are a poor excuse, as are the engines inside imo.
