LSD Friction Plates - Where to buy ?

Post by pancho »

Hi Guys,

We are locking our TS diffs up a little from stock and need to know where we can buy the friction plates/discs /clutches whatever you want to call them. Dont mind where they come from as long as the quality is good., They shouldnt cost much to ship as I understand they are pretty much large washers so shipping cand tbe that expensive.

Cheers,
Patricko :D

You can try Hurtienne in Germany. We paid about 90E complete for 4 of them. They're not listed in his catalog, so either email them or give them a call (if you call, ask for Stefan-he owns the place).

FYI - In Australia these are available from ZF in NSW>

I have heard from the man in the know that building the diff this way is much better than using flat aluminim plates instead.

Just for perspective, new LSD friction plates cost ~20Euros each in Europe. Why can't some of you guys get together and order a bunch? You can get them from ZF or Bacci (the short gearbox guys) at http://www.bacciromano.com/
