75 EVO Gr. A
Hi guys!
I found a 75 EVO Gr. A here in Portugal, a car that raced here almost 20 years ago...
I would like to know how can I see the diference between a EVO engine and a regular turbo engine.
Does it run on the old LE-Jetronic or does it uses the Motronic system?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Alexandre

Alfa Romeo... some people just polish them, some people know better!!
Check the engine number, Left hand side of the engine right next to the bellhousing. regular turbo engines start with *06134* if memory serves me correctly.
I'll double check that figure for you.
The engine numner is on the flat surface closest to the camera between the two left fixings.

Well, the car was indeed owned by Rufino Fontes, but I don´t recognize that look.
It won the Estoril 3h endurance race in 1988 with Rufino Fontes and Fernando Peres at the wheel. The car remains with the same livery as back in 1988.

Like Alexandre said, this car was raced by Rufino Fontes back in the 80´s.
This car is now owned by 2 of our friends (from our club in Portugal, ALFAnord ... www.alfanord.pt ), after Alexandre had spotted it wednesday (!!!) and is in exposition at this precise moment in Exponor/autoclassico (huge classic cars and parts exposition in Porto).
We took some pictures and details will be available soon
