cams

Post by jensen73 »

I know the 164 s cams offer a jump in performance; how about the standard 3.0 cams in the 2.5 engine?

I know it not exactly what you're asking for, but a guy in Holland put the camshafts from a 3.0 Spider into his 155 2.5 12valve.

The result was a LOT more power at high rpms, but not really a big difference in torque. I can't find the link to the power-graphs anymore, but the used to be on the Squadra-tuning site (www.squadra-tuning.com).
In addition to the cams, they flowed the heads, reprogrammed the ECU and fitted a cold air duct to the airfilter. The result was about 180-185hp at high rpm's.

To bad I can't find the link to the site descriping this project, but maybe others can?
