What to do with bonnett?

Post by GarthW »

I have my bonnett off at the moment for my engine is out for it is getting rebuilt. I removed the plastic top cap from the bonnett and i thought i'd like to do something different instead of putting it back on. I thought it would be good to get more air into the engine bay, but i dont want a scoop.
Also theres gonna be alot more heat in there due to the hairdryer i'm throwing in. Is there a good way to fed air into the bay without a scoop?
Thanks for any help!

Ps. I must say i cannot believe how much the standard airbox
weighs, its disgusting. Must be close to 4 kilos. My turbo weighs 6kg.
So i thought with that and all the air-con stuff removed, i'm surely
up on the weight! But damn what a heavy air box lol.
