Made a new intake pipe of 76mm which runs into area between splashguard and headlight. It has cone filter on end . Reason why I brought it into this area as the major tempwerature difference. The temp probe before(with cone filter in engine bay) was 56 degrees now its 23 degrees - same as outside airtemp. Same time incorporated the 164 oil vapour resorvour , temp probe and idle control connection into 76mm. No its NOT CHROME.

View from otherside . Pics not good as from cell. The 76mm pipe just rest on rubber mounts so it does not put strain on the six intake tubes as the engine moves.

Kevin, I hope you have done or will do some on the road testing with that set up and a water manometer. You may have put the engines air intake in a low(er) pressure part of the car (obviously when the car is moving that is).

Maybe, but that's where Callaway put it, so it's probably OK. The biggest problem with the filter located there is that it gets dirty really fast. Of course no matter where you put the filter, it's a trade of one way or another...

I was fortunate enough to See this the other day- being in joh'berg, and I don't think that'll be a problem as the filter sits high enough. My mechanic has done this for years on turbo cars- works well. The diameter is big enough to feed the engine (try breathing through a straw) and kevin's done a great job with an oil air separator and catch can too- an impressive car!!
Fixing it bit by bit....

Thanks Jules. Duk the filter is very high and it gets air fed through the slot in the GTV 3.0l front spoiler (south africa),splitter(USA and Oz)- not sure what it is called in Mats land.

The front spoiler is the vertical part above the splitter... :)

Mats , thats exactly how we interpret it here. Before splitters were ''invented'' pre Tarquini 155BTCC days we called anything on the front below the bumper a spoiler.
