Just got back from having the alfa at the dyno...

Today i picked up my car from Creatd Motorsports. These guys specialise in dyno tuning, there workshop was full of very modified, mostly japanese cars, so i felt abit out of place taking my car there, but they made feel very welcome. I had to leave it there for a couple of days. The map i was running couldnt be developed further, so basically a new map was written.
Before the car was running way too rich, it wasnt even running on all cylinders properly, so when i drove her home, it was a completley different car to drive. It went so well, i never had a chance to put my foot down, the response was ridiculous, even with the little exhaust leak i currently have... there was virtually no lag.
Now i still have to upgrade the igntion coil, for its crap, and the turbo i have is not that big, i have a very small rear exhaust housing...will get the 0.86 very soon.. but running 1bar(14.7psi) i have just shy of
180rwkw, around
250hp at the wheels.
Now with these numbers i was really happy. Its a massive gain from standard.
Next dyno tune will be with the 0.86 exhaust, and better coil, ignition system, will have easily somewhere over 300hp at the wheels then, and after the way it went today, that will be enough i think.

Graph or it didn't happen...
What is your torque level? Peak torque? Very interesting to see if your box will stay together...

That's great to hear, those are good results. It's really fun to drive a boosted Alfa that can keep up with the newer crowd of quick cars.

Cheers Greg. Mats- I never got a torque reading, only kw and hp. I will find out though.
Yeah Greg its pretty quick, although not very high kw..the torque is amazing. If i'm making nearly 180rwkw, what would that be at the engine? I've also lightned the car quite alot, i doubt there's many cars on the road with the chassis weight i have with similar torque, hp etc. Last time on the weighbridge she was 1130kg, can remove another 30kg, so 1100kg would be perfect.
Yeah Mats the gear box, etc would be at their limit now i think. Rob, the guy from Creatd Motorsports said i've overpowered the brakes and suspension with the tune it now has. Even now i can feel the strain its had..will be upgrading the gearbox, etc, next year..if it all holds till then.
But at least now, with the tuning side of things, till i upgrade the turbo, its done.

Here's the first vid since the tune. I did a great drive before i filmed this, camera moved and all you could see was the window wiper blade when i played it back, so i did this quick one on the way back home. Its boring, just a quick stab in 3rd and 4th gear, but, with FedZ wantin more vids..who am i to say no..?

Haha MD.

Damn those wiper blades though! I filmed another one, which was going to be an invite only, for i put the foot down abit, but nope, the wiper blade blocked all the action.

Would have been a good vid otherwise..
Will make a mounting plate next time before i do a solo run.
