Hey, Z man

You gonna came to London, and not drop by meet up??

What Uni?

Give me dates, and I'll arrange some track time at the magazine test track - we can try the 'twin turbo-i'll try and not spin the wheels, OHMYGOD it's dangerous' test. You can show me ya best moves on track!

Well I did go to Brunel (Uxbridge) for a while. Do you live somewhere close to London?

Would love to check out your cars.

The problem is I have 2 others tagging along (wife and kid). Probably just drop them off at Oxford (have some friends there) for a day or so. Logistics are a problem when you have a little kid.

Anyway we'll see how it goes. But the Ring trip, would love to do that sometime soon.

I live 25 mins away from Brunel Uni!! I know the place well (don't ask....)

Our test track is in Bruntingthorpe, right next to Leicester.

Thats about 60min from Oxford in your rental car!!

Keep me posted.

I can hop over to the UK if you set up a drive in May, I got a place to stay for free so it's not really a problem. I live about 1o minutes from the airport (too bad they only fly to Stanstead though :/ )

Just give me some notice in advance. :)

The Ring in May is a done deal - just waiting for the F1 dates to lock in the dates with Ron... The Ring in March is a big possibility - working on it.

UK before Christmas is a possibility (that's if I am invited...) Still have a score to settle with Andrew and Mats  (I do mis SoHo so...) and I want to go andsee the EMC guys while there any way.
...to Alfa, or not to Alfa? That is the question...

Hi Andrew,

I wasn't having a go at Ron's suspension as I in fact wish I could afford to import one for my GTV6,it would cost me over R13 000,it's the opening paragraph of Roberto's article that grate's with me.I suppose I just find it odd for an Italian to be so derogatory against our cars....sorry about that,as I come from a family that gives me serious grief for loving Alfa's.

Adjusting rear brakes :( not fun I have to agree.

For those of us playing the PST GT4,maybe we should take a leaf out of EVO magazine and post our best times in say the Alfa 147GTA in stock form just for the fun of it? :D

Don't worry Andrew,Barry can vouch for the fact that I am not blinkered towards our cars inherent weaknesses just think some overstate them to an unfair degree.

Regards,

Fernando

Really? And drive me where (you dirty dawg.. hahaha).
My sister lives in the other end of London more or less, Chrystal Palace or just about.

Would be great to not having to take the train/bus/underground/train/minicab... Takes about three times as long as the flight itself. :|

Just thinking out loud here. What's the best way to fly from UK to Munich? BMI or other cheapo airlines? Saw a good deal from LHR to Amsterdam (80 quid return). Then rent a car to drive to the ring? Is it cheaper through Gatwick? But if I stay in London I need to take a train down to Gatwick, probably better to fly from either Stanstead or LHR.

Any thoughts?

Anyway I'm still in the planning stages.

Maybe this shouldn't be in the performance section. I'll continue in "Others section".

Hi Mats, if it's an evening or weekend I'm sure I can be taxi, depending on amount of luggage will dictate if it's in the GTV6 or the Audi estate though

Andrew, would absolutely love to see the TT !, I've driven on circuits many times in many things, fastest thing was a 400+bhp/ton single seat open wheeler, slowest is probably my 3.0 GTV. Unfortunately I don't have a race license so I'd happily accept being resigned as audience or passenger if 2 seats !

Z,
Another option is flying to Maastricht-Airport in the Netherlands.
Is 3 minutes from where I live. And that is about 153 km from the N'Ring.... There are cheap flights from Standstead to Maastricht-Airport with easyjet. Do a touristic tour through Maastricht while you're there anyway :D
