GTV6 Speedo again

Post by Jose_76 »

I have a GTV6 and a Gearbox from a Milano with the newest sender on it. Now I have the Milano's amplifier for the signal coming from the gearbox' sender  , but I don't know what kind of signal is coming out of it and what kind is the speedometer waiting for. Anybody can help?

I'm certain that it's rather easy to fix, but I haven't got the knowledge.

Thank you beforehand.

P.S.: I have an old osciloscope in case it was needed

Think you are right Barry.

JK reminds me of "Yogurt" in the movie "Space Balls".

Power to the Schwartz !!

However, unlike the Pope, I for one wouldn't necessarily kiss him on the ring.... :D

Jose,

Check this topic here.

I have a 75/milano transaxle in my GTV6 with the standard GTV6 speedo. It's a direct connect from the 75/Milano sender to the GTV6 speedo (no amplifier) through the Dakota unit. Steve R's fit was the same as mine with a 3 wire 75/Milano sender to the 2 wire GTV6 speedo.

The Dakota unit is not cheap but well worth it as the speedo works perfectly and is easy to adjust to fine tune to exact readings and the original GTV6 speedo is retained.
