alternator charge cable

Post by Alfaaa1 »

Hi to all.
On the Alfetta GTV 4 cylinder series.
Just confirming, the charge cable wire on the alternator goes to the starter motor positive post the same one that the battery positive cable sits on. :?:

I am starting to re wire the engine harness to suit the v6. :)

Has anyone fitted a Gotech Pro x stand alone ECU to there V6 with the original coil packs.

This is the year that I will have this project finished .

Thanks

Very nice progress.
The B+ output from the alternator can go almost anywhere where there is a B+ connection. However due to the fairly high current that may be produced by the alternator, it is generally connected where there is high current carrying wiring already ie. the starter B+ connection. Particularly so, if the battery is in the boot (trunk).
