I think Zamani's price quote is on the high side 
You can spend $350 on a MS, but it would have all of the options. If your main objective is to get rid of the AFM my estimate for cost would be $200-250, depending on which board and processor you choose.
Very affordable, but much more work than Gotech.
Both are very good values, you just need to decide how much time you want to invest.
On the bright side, both are much less work than pioneering a new AFM design
