Removing Bosch connectors

Does anybody have a good method or know of a tool for properly removing these dang bosch connectors (fuel injectors, cold startup valve, temp sensors, aux valve)? Either they are impossible to remove, or I break the connectors. Somebody has to know how to remove these things properly.

Pull out the metal clip (with a pick or similar) and they pull right off.
