No spark, won't start -problem solved-

Post by gtv6milano »

This is a report. The problem solved.

My GTV6 won't start from last Saturday after removing Bosch ignition advance ECU. Actually, it was OK right after re-installed the unit. But, wouldn't start SOMETIMES. The starter motor was fine everytime.
Then, I thought it caused somewhere around the ignition advance ECU or wiring. I was checking thosem, ....looks fine. ..... then, I was start thinking other reason(that was big mistake!) I was checked combi relay,
........ was OK. I start re-checking ignition part. There's no 12v on ignition coil terminal.

well, finally, I found the problem. The green/black wire terminal from ignition advance ECU was bad. The problem was it looks fine. Both wires looks connect, but not inside of the green tube was not. I think I was lucky because when I got this problem, the bad wire has still alive(but almost dead). When I could start engine, grabbed the ignition ECU, and shake it..... engine stopped suddenly.

The bad one was on 6P connector, has two Green/Black wires, one goes to ignition coil.

After tugged, the wire separated easily.
