Headlight upgrade kit and more

Post by Greg Gordon »

I am getting ready to release a headlight upgrade kit, hopefully I will do it sometime in June. The kit is done and has been on this car for a couple years. It works very very well, and it's set at exactly maximum legal brightness. We even have brighter bulbs for the outlaw types.

The kit has two outboard headlights with high and low beam functions, all wiring, relays, connectors, and instructions. It's possible to add two more lights for the inboard hi beams but I have not bothered with that. It's so bright as it is, and two more bright lights would get close to the alternator limits. (My car has a lot of extra electrics) The lights are cheap to replace, and a variety of bulbs are avaliable.

Yes, you can see from the rock chips in the front end of my car that I actually USE this car everyday, it's my supercharged GTV6. It used to be my dad's.

I am also working on a GTV6 gauge pod. The one in my car has 4 items, a boost gauge, supercharger discharge temp, a system light, and a switch. It could be set up in a number of ways and would be made to order. It's made from 1/4 inch alluminum so the gauges don't need any bracing behind them which makes things a lot easier when installing it.

Well, I guess there is not much interest in these items. Oh well, back to my projects.

 Hey Greg.... I'm interested in the gauge pod even though I don't have one of your superchargers yet (perhaps I should buy that first). Your original posts sounded like simple announcements, that's probably why there wasn't a slew of responses. :D

Thanks for the feedback. The first kits will be sold here in the classifieds at a steep discount.

Enzo, I am honestly not sure if you are kidding or not. But no, it won't be in yellow, just what you see in the photo.

Ok, I thought you might be joking because I have A LOT of yellow on my GTV6. In any case, I can't make these in yellow.

Greg,

Why did you pick these over the Hella H4? Are they better?

Better is somewhat subjective. I like these better because they seem a little brighter with the same wattage bulb and I like the light pattern more.

How well do these suit RHD cars?
What brackets are attached?

Thanks
