Alternator Removal

Can somebody give me a quick tutorial on how to remove the alternator from my 86 GTV6 and reinstalling it without creating more problems than I have already?

Remove the bolt and nut that are used to adjust the belt tension.It rides is a slotted bracket.From below the car remove the long bolt and nut that fasten the alternator bracket to the engine block (they're either 17 or 19 mm).You can then rotate the alternator and remove the belt and pull the alternator out.There will still be 2 wires attached and the large one has voltage present if you haven't disconnected the battery so be carefull.
