3 Extra GoTechs Here With Me!

Since a few folks here have found it cumbersome to obtain GoTech units directly from SA, I thought that I would just bring 3 complete sets back with me to the States...

I have 3 base GoTech units complete with starting maps, and complete AR V6 harnesses, (includes air temp sensors and connectors for 12 valve injectors, thermostats etc...), manual and CD.

Price is 600 USD including shipping anywhere or pick up here in Seattle.

Let me know.

Yeah, yeah, relax....

After I posted it here, I realized that we have spent more time discussing GoTech under "Performance" than here and I wanted others to have the opportunity to see the post...

Take a chill-pill Mats.

OK, I bought one of the three, should be here next week, but I will need some input from the folks here on how to program it. The first question I have is where to mount the MAP sensor, I have spare plenum lying around, should I mount it directly to the plenum, or will one of the hoses that run to the plenum work ok?

After I get it, I will need advice on ignition advance through the RPM range, fuel enrichment for both engine temp and ambient temp. Just stuff like this. Hopefully I can get JJ, Zamani and Peter W. invloved with this a little.

It may be a little while before I get ot the installation, I am trying to finish my Verde, but after that it is GoTech time!

Mount it where the distributer vaccum advance pipe is connected.

Just behind the throttle body! you won't need the vac advance any more as the dizzy will need to be locked.

Take the car to a dyno to be tuned. If you have little experience in mapping, or tuning dont even think about trying to tune it on the road. Very easy to damage your motor if you get it wrong.

Should have a half decent start up map loaded.

To get the best power, you'll need accurate ign timing tuned right through the rev range, you HAVE to do this on a loading dyno.

Did JJ supply you a lambda sensor for running closed loop - hope so, will help with feul econ.

cheers

Thanks, sounds like good advice, would the car be safe to drive about 50 miles to the dyno shop? My car has the standard lambda (O2) sensor, will this work, or do I need different/new one?

What is the best way to lock the dizzy?
