2.5 vs 3.0 injectors

Hi,

My rebuilt engine has just been started for its first time - idling smoothly and without vibrations :D Only problem is the leaking injector rubbers...

Are the injectors from a 3.0 interchangable with the 2.5 injectors? What about flow?

I guess I need bigger injectors anyway - the engine has balanced & polished rods, crank etc - JE high compression pistons, Cat Cams, ported polished heads, bigger valves etc....

Currently running stock L-jet - but will install aftermarket fuel injection as soon as i can afford it. Just need to drive the car from the shop that has restored my GTV6 and put it in winter storage.

Any suggestions to suitable injectors?

There's a Jaguar XJS, IIRC, that is higher flow and compatible with the L-Jet and fuel rail. Some one I knew had researched this for his '84 3.0ltr build up similar to yours. It's a mid-80's model.

BTW, isn't the flow rate in stock configuration 19 #'ers?

You may wish to read this informative page:

(I have no connection to the vendor.)

Greg's info states the stock injectors at 17.6pph @ 2.5 bar. That's basically what I was thinking. I'll want to increase the injectors when I do my 3.0 build-up.
