My buddy has a 82 gtv6 that sat for a few years before fixing a coupler issue car ran fine before coupler broke.
Now that the coupler has been repaired have had no luck starting here is what I know and things we've done
1 cleaned all grounds
2 cleaned fuse block and relay contacts and replaced all fuse with correct size
3 reseated double relay
4 checked fuel pressure 38 psi
5 checked for voltage at injector 12 volts both sides (ecu not grounding)
6 coolant temp sensor CTS has 3k ohm
7 thermo time switch TTS has 66.5 ohms this should be zero when cold i know but it seems like even if the CSI is not working i should still get a ground to one side of injectors ??
8 seventh injector Cold start injector CSI not firing
9 if the car is primed through the air intake it will turn over.
10 ignition switch appears to be working correctly. (ohm'ed out)
question
1 pin 1 on the ECU is for the rpm input from ignition coil how can one test this signal
is it 12 volt signal to the ECU and if the tackometer is showing feedback from coil during start should the signal to ECU also be there.
2 what is the likely hood of a bad ECU.
any other input or things to look at please help as its getting to cold for my buddy to ride his R6
