I want to be able to add 1 or maybe even 2 knock sensors to work with my Adaptronic E420c computer going into my 75 Potenziata.
Normally I wouldn't advise this for the 12 valve engines due to engine noise, but the Adaptronic has some pretty effective filtering capabilities to set back ground noise levels every 500rpm, so I want to be able to give it a shot.
Secondly, the knock sensor signal can be fed into the microphone input on a laptop and a set of headphones used to listen to the engine. WAY cheaper than buying something like the Haltech Knock Ears.
So where about's on the 24 valve engines is the knock sensor located?

Needs no batteries.
Needs no ECU
Needs no sender
Does need a pair of buccaneers.

I had thought of a similar approach, but I want to go with what I've mentioned already.
I like the idea of my computer doing as much of the 'heavy lifting' as possible

I believe it is in the V somewhere. Have you seen this device by phormula.co.uk? I should look into something like this because my static CR is 11:1 right now.

I wonder what JK has to say about knock sensors. but i suppose he has more experience with knockers sensor
