Tropic-air questions

I am attempting to resurrect the A/C on my 86 GTV6, and have some questions:
1) There is a valve inline going to one evaporator. What do the wires connect to? What signal activates that second circuit?
2) The receiver dryer has two pressure switches. Which is which?
3) I am going to use R134, and want to install a parallel-flow condenser. Any recommendations?
