alternative cooling fans

Post by darryl longley »

After using my gtv6 this year both fans have finally failed
they still work and turn on at the right temperature but after squeaking then rumbling like a stones in a washing machine first one which I then disconnected and now the other its time to change them
Any upgrades or alternatives
Thanks in advance

I have looked at previous posts which mention the 75 single fan but as that solution was over ten years ago and 75 fans are probably as rare as the gtv6 twin fans its probably time for a rethink

Here is a NOS set from Italian ebay: http://www.ebay.it/itm/ELETTROV-ALFA-RO ... Swo4pYYqyb
Alternatively, you can buy the twin fan set from the gta and with few mods in the frame (a little cutting, drilling and rivets on the mounting lugs) you can do a great job of tailoring it to fit perfectly on your radiator. Note these fans are much quieter and push far more air than the old 75TD set by virtue of more and reshaped (curved) blades. Total current draw is ~28A.
