Post by Bruce »

It's cheaper or he has one laying around... 8)

Or is it because the pulling throw-out bearing is NLA?

No it's not straightforward. Unless you have 2,0l clutchcover and 2,0 slave. Then you can bolt it on to the tranny, well take al look here pics are worth thousand words... :

ps. Ill add myself to the asking audience. WHY? You'll certainly enjoy you 4 banger clutch for much shorter time on a V6. Been there done that :D

I wanted to know if the transaxle input shaft would fit into the clutch assembly and housing of a TS unit without modification. I am aware I have to change the slave cylinder and other bits and bobs, and I know it won't last as long as the original but I have the opportunity at the moment to do some experimentation - what's 15mm and 3mm between friends?
Reason? I want a much lighter clutch pedal.

AFAIK all input shafts on all Alfetta production cars have the same clutch interfaces.
You will however need the correct pilot tube for the throw-out bearing you want to use.
