This was an absolute blast of a day. Good to to all the chaps gathered around a great cause '(watching a howling 156 3.7 Glenwood prepared Alfa in action). The first stage of six in all started at Wesbank raceway , 75km from Pretoria then headed back north for three stages at Gerotek(An old Goverment Arms testing facility area - 20 sqare km), and last two at Kyalami and Zwartkopps race tracks.
Unfortunately the radiator developed a leak from the vibration of the fan motors rubbing against the cores which caused an early retirement from the fifth stage , however after patching the radiator Dawie jnr (driver) took the third place in the last stage and sixth overall.
This 3.7 motor kicked serious but and did not miss a beat the whole day.
Half the fun was speaking Alfa gabble the whole day amongst fellow Alfistis.
Here are some pics, of Dawie jnr who drove brilliantly. check out his racing overalls - none.
It was good to see the Dawie de Villiers father son combo so well.
Heres a pic of the "team" who i hope will put some action pics up.
