There has been discussions about lightening the rear flywheel. In the pics my old lightened flywheel is in comparison to the new one. For records the old one is lightened from 7.5 to 5.2 kg. The assys and the disk plates are there as well.
I didn't decide yet whether to use the 4.5 or 5.5" clutch. Both are capable of 1100 Nm
The 5.5" I'll machine down to 2 disk and the smaller probably as well. Neither is a bolt on but can be made to fit with pretty decent work. The flywheel weighs 952 g for the 5.5" clutch and the smaller one will be just under but I don't have it yet. I won't bother you with inertia but is is LOW.

Did so on a 24v turbo at an all tar rally..new 7"AP Racing..welded plates ..

You slip them sintered plates with enough torque for long enough you weld the whole shebang solid!
