Greetings Alfisti! Introducing me & my 1985 GTV6 project....
My name's Paul & I'm an Alfaholic
I've owned my GTV6, Allegra, since May 2007. Never driven her though , as she's been in extensive refurbishment and mechanical upgrade ever since! She should be ready by Spring '11
Looking forward to finally getting behind the wheel
Happy motoring!

Well spotted, Fedezyl
Yes, it's a 3 litre 24v from a 164 Q4. With a few tweaks I'm hoping to achieve outputs of 300 bhp & 240 lbs/ft
As I am mechanically inept and wanted a good job done, the whole project is being managed by UK GTV6 specialist Alex Jupe (http://alexjupemotorsport.co.uk/), with the additional engine work to be carried out by master-builder Adie Hawkins (http://www.alfacare.co.uk/Servicing/Home.htm).
To say I'm extremely happy with their work so far would be an massive understatement
Re: Greetings Alfisti! Introducing me & my 1985 GTV6 project....
I've seen the work of Addie on the net (I own a 16v 33) he seems to be a very good builder!
Congrats on your car mate!

That's one awesome build. Never could get my engines anywhere near that cleanliness. What colour is that paint.

Wait, did you add a little bit of camber to the dedion? Might be worth it while it is out.

In order to get the project past my wife, she has final say on the colour scheme. The exterior is (ahem ) Jaguar Racing Green Pearl and the interior will be in tan, although it's not been decided which material yet. Leather is looking likely.

As mentioned in an earlier post Alex Jupe is managing the project, including setting up the 'oily bits'. If Alex thinks something would have been worthwhile, then it will have been carried out. He does like going sideways, though....

Yendig, I saw your car in the ''flesh'' today . That paintwork is exceptional and colour is even better in natural light. Must say Alex Jupe's work on GTV's has to be the best in the world. No part goes back unless it looks brand new. I think if i lived anywhere in Europe I would send my GTV or SZ for full restoration and performance upgrade- 3.5L. He has sourced everything and every conversion from aircon upgrade ,big brake upgrades from the new giulietta, gearlever throws to wheel arch covers(or undercovers) to make a GTV a really modern tourer or track car. There are als0 a few other gtv's there including a widebody track car still road registered with fiberglass roof , bootlid , bonnet etc . Im sure that will feature in Auto Italia in time to come.
My UK trip is nearing the end but that visit down to Bosham, Chichester was well worth it for the alfisti including a pub lunch down the lane on the sea. I think only a schnitzel at the ring could beat it.
