Smaller starter for V6 - to close to CSC header

Post by manuel164 »

Hello!

I have a problem with my CSC headers and starter.
On the right side, the header is very close to the starter, approx. 5mm.
Is there any chance to get a smaller starter from an other car?

Thank you
Manuel

You can always remove header and with bit of heat press it in another 5mm then use proper insulation wrapped on solenoid. I have done this and had no problems with starter . Or you can add another flange welded to headers but then you have to bolt header on , not use studs as it's impossible to remove.
