Variable TPS

Post by Duk »

I need a linear, variable TPS that will suit the (from what I've seen of 3 different make, Japanese car TB's ) opposite opening direction of the Alfa V6 throttle body.
A Nissan RB20DET engine TPS slides onto the Alfa shaft, but because the TB opens the opposite direction, the sensor would show a decreasing voltage to the computer as the throttle opens, and it can't be configured to work that way.

Any suggestions or links?

BTW, we really need a dedicated aftermarket ECU section to cover all aftermarket installations rather than just the 2 :wall: .

From what i've seen you need one from a 155 v6. That uses the same throttle housing and plate but with the linear sensor.

Thanks Giuliettaevo. V6 155 aren't exactly common occurrences here in Oz (not sold here), do you have the Bosch part number? It is hopefully the same as another brand of car like a BMW or Merc.

I've read about people using the Volvo 850 TPS. Sorry, not sure which engine.

I'm pretty sure that the tps sensor out of año alfa 33 1.7 8v works, i used one for my 33 16v with Megasquirt and it was a direct fit, and the 16v uses the same tps than the motronic 164, it has to be from the series 3 33 1.7 8v without afm
