We actually had luck with the penalty shoot out.

Holland usually sucks at penalty's but this time they nailed it.the last minute keeper-swap was a good idea. :D

Being a member of AROC here in UK has opened up my eyes to some really nice site seeing and museum visits organised by our Surrey section .
The Mike Hawthorn museum is only open once a year and one our members organised an invitation along a with few othercar clubs to view some of his Jaguars that he owned and raced . The owner of the museum also restored the xj220 that was crashed many years ago to the original prototype specs with a V 12 motor . Of course their were more Alfas there that arrived than any other club present which just shows that Alfa owners are proper petrol heads even if its not their own brand .
Pics to follow of the museum and our cars we came in .

Our cars and the 220. That V12 sounded fantastic . The immaculate 75 I got a lift in was a very interesting car as it was firstly automatic and secondly we filled up with gas ( not petrol ) as it has a large cylinder in the boot . The owner uses this car as his everyday cheap to run traffic friendly Alfa while his Ron Simons prepared track 3.0 75 and his other turbo 2.0 75 are saved for other occasions . The car was so comfortable I actually fell asleep on the way  ( for a split second)
The 75 on very right was the one on the cover of AutoItalia a few months back .

i haven't seen a 12c mondeo yet
is it a prototype with the intendet v12? when it came out it had the metro v6 in it, wich was a huge disapointment for the would be buyers

I just noticed the 12 horns in the 220. Is this a prototype? All these fantastic cars around!! One can really go mental just thinking about them!

Joemart ( Joe ) came to visit me here in UK last week so we decided to do the tourist thing and pop down the road to Hampton Court Palace to have coffee and do some sightseeing . Lone behold to our wives surprise ( and mine) their was the annual concourse on which we just had to spend three hours looking at before doing the palace tour which is also great . Took some pics of the weaponry on display . Its got to be the finest collection of cars on display I have ever seen . Note Pininfarina designed merc
Must say I felt a but under dressed for the occasion . Shorts , T shirt SA style :)

AROC Thames Valley section hosted Southern Alfa day at Osterely Park in west London . It was quite a big turnout with such a wide range of Alfas .
Venue was great and interesting for first timers to the old Mannor Houses . Some pics to follow. Initially I thought the Brera in the below pic was wrapped but its one of Alfas latest colours which you find now on the Mitos and Giulietta's.

Anyone on here been to the legendary Aces Cafe . Pretty good fun but you got to keep your eyes open that some bike does not take you out when entering the parking . Good fun on a Italian night . Spotted a nice 155 with 5cyl 20v turbo motors in from the fiat . ( same floor plan ) , few 75s other GTAs . Nicks track car parked in front and mine in background .
