Well given that you can transplant any crankshaft into any engine block of the Nord ilk*,it is extremely doubtful that Alfa would have changed the bolt patterns. Re-tooling is a costly business and so my best anticipation is that they are the same.

* Dont expect the stroke to remain the same..

Errrr... yes and no - you can put any of them in any block, but non 2l cranks won't line up with the bores in a 2l block (even with the offset rods), and vice versa.

105 1.6 and 1.8 definitely use 8 bolts, but the alfetta 1.8 crank I think is different cos a 1750 flywheel won't bolt on from memory?

Guess I'm going to have to go digging, got both cranks lying in a corner of the man cave, but can't get at them easily.

And confirmation that Alfetta 1.8 are a 6 bolt crank:

Went digging into my stash last night, and also asked a bloke I know who has a few engines piled in a corner - Alfetta 1.8 is definitely 6 bolt like a 2l.

Case closed.
