Road performance and gearboxes?
Hi Folks!
I need advice about how to upgrade my cars road handling. This is how my car is set up today:
GTV6-83
24mm Torsion Bars
Monroe Shocks
The flexible cushions on the radius rod are changed to power-flex
The car is far to soft for my taste and I look for a bit more firm handling. How have you been upgraded your cars?
Gearbox:
On which models are the gearbox with "better" gear ratio mounted?
Best wishes,
Jonas

upgrades
Hi, I have upgraded my GTV6 with an alfa 75 twinspark box, this has the added advantage of limited slip diff and better gear changes together with a re-disigned gear lever from Alex Jupe motorsport UK.
The suspension is a coilover fast road set up from Ron Simmons and handles like its on rails. I hope this helps in your quest to find a better drive.

The TS box is by far the best standard box you can fit.

Thanks!
Thank you all for your replies, it helps a lot. I like to spend my money and time upgrading and improving, not re-inventing what's already is invented.

You can see it also at www.performatek.com. You just have to order the Caster Rod Ball Joints and its Adaptor Kit. It's a bolt on upgrade ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Call up CC-motor and get the parts there, cheap enough and less hassle then getting them from another country.
I made a how-to for the whole procedure on alfapower.nu ( http://www.alfapower.nu/viewthread.php?tid=4565 )

I've got a set adaptor plates of the newer design on stock.
Aluminium adaptor for the wheel side and a stainless steel clamp plate for the motor bay side.

I'm not sure what thickness my first design had, think that the drawing I sent to Andy was 8 or 10 mm
The new set is 8 mm thick alu adaptor plate and 4 mm clamp plate.
Do I want to sell, don't want to screw up this nice site with commercial blabla
, I'll do a PM.
