Jeremy Clarkson had a GTV6 , paid 5000 pounds for it , sold it for 3000 ,it is now worth 7000 .... he was kicking himself. They had a segment on classic cars a few weeks back and they had a silver one on the show not sure if it was the one he owned.
Hi I'm Nick Ericson, I have 2 GTV6's One is in the pictures below (some people have asked about these pic's recently, so here they are). These cars are GTV6 #2 and 3, the first I had was a Red '84 that I bought in '85 in Sweden, that car I don't have anymore but the MOMO steering wheel is now in car #2... Car #3 is is a fairly ugly '85 European DOT conversion that's undergoing surgery to become a track car. Car #2 (in the pictures) is sporting Shankle swaybars, IAP headers, Ansa rear exhaust, drilled discs and new calipers in the rear and drilled vented discs in the front, braided brake lines, red sport spings, yellow Coni's, Greg Gordon's intake and hoses, Compotive 3pc 7x15 wheels with 225x15 Yokohama EVS100's and I just put on European bumpers after a little mishap in the rain at Watkins Glen... (the bumpers are not in the pics...)
This is the NYC track day gang... Tariks car is on the left, next Gusippe's (our Mechanic), mine with David Rivkin helping me tape up the lights (David just got a GTV6 in addition to his GTA) and Griff's, not Griffs knee pads...
This is my 3rd red GTV6, this is a '85 European DOT import that I'm turning into a track car, there's some odd stuff with this car... I'm still trying to figure out why the '85 euro car has a pre early '83 center-console with the ACswitch (and if I remember right the Euro cars had a smaller center-console with dual heater control, passenger/driver and the stereo where the AC flip switch resides), when the car never had AC installed. It's a euro car with mostly Euro gauges, the "light" stalk pushes in for a high beam blast, Euro bumpers and side markers, different part number on the AFM, etc, But the center console baffels me...
I'll post updates as the car comes along, now it's off to bodywork...
