Hello Everyone,
I may purchased the wrong part. I wanted to correct the brake bias on my 82 GTV6 and bought a Wilwood proportioning valve to replace the stock unit. It uses SAE type threads 1/8”-27 NPT but our Alfas use a 10mm x 1mm threads. I did some rummaging around the web to find adaptors but didn’t find much.
Seems Wilwood would have something what with all the metric fittings on cars out there. Now that I’m in this situation, I see Tilton offers a metric version.
Anyone have suggestions on a solution?
Thanks,
Merril

X-rad, I got the one with the nob adjustment (instead of lever), p/n 260-8419.
I found an adapter at pegasusautoracing.com that had 1/8NPT to M10x1 but the gender appears to be the revese of what I want. This adapter has male metric threads (10x1.0mm) and female 1/8 NPT threads. I could add more adaptors but that seems excessive.
I think MD and Barry both have good suggestions.
I would be concerned with tapping new threads into the Wilwood unit as there could be metal shaving contamination into the valve itself. A pretty straight forward operation though.
Changing connections on the piping would be ok, just have inconsistant connectors in th system.
Looks like I'll go with one of these suggestions.
Thanks guys,
Good sense of humor out there too
