IMSA 75 detailed pics (original factory car) at Swartkops SA
im going to start posting a whole bunch of pics of thsi awesome car. One thing for sure is that its faster than our big twin turbo v6 race cars on this twist Swartkops Circuit. Depending on boost its capable up to 400hp. I wont say they were exagerrating either as it was hammering most BMW's , Fords with 200hp more.
In these pics there are some interestng concepts we can do in our own cars from simple things like their heel toe pedal set up etc.
Probably about forty pics altogether. Just some to start off.

Re: IMSA 75 detailed pics (original factory car) at Swartkop
Is this a Dutch car bought by a Sarf African?
Is the rear suspension a solid modified dedion, fully independent or that complicated dedion/independent stuff like the one in the Museo Storico?

Z its car no 14. Brought to SA to race in a touring car series from holland. Its Harmen Van Putten car. Really great guy who loves Alfas.
Regarding more pics - keep your shorts on. There will be enough pics to build one yourself

Those IMSA's were absolutely the most exciting thing to see racing here in Holland. Just loved the flames in the overrun and at shifting.
There can be no such thing as to much pictures from these cars... So keep on posting them.

See the bellhousing which bolteded onto to rubber mounts above. the engine is bolted solid with no rubber. Center section is cutout to accomodate one piece carbon fibre prop. It still uses rubber coupling upfront with a cage and cv in rear.

That is one awesome car. I would like to hear more about the forward Guibo, driveshaft and transaxle.
Is the forward Guibo an alfa part? Did all the IMSA cars run a carbon fiber driveshaft? What mods does the transaxle have to handle the power? If it has 400hp at the flywheel, it might not need any, but it would be marginal.
