G'day from Australia
Hey everyone,
I think its high time I posted my car here, along with some pictures and a video, and of course specs.
The car is a Nov 1986 build, it has a glass electric sunroof and a trip computer. These came with the car from new.
My father owned the car for 17 years, and when I turned 17, he gave it to me. Since then I have been doing a few small modifications, Greg Gordons intake kit for instance, then I started playing with the handling.
After a year or so, I started looking for more power, originally planning on something just like Julian's GTV6 screaming 2.5L, but then I ended up buying an engine from JJ.
After a long 8 months and lots of money later, I finally have my car back. Nuff talk, time for pictures! Most of you already have seen my exhaust video, so I wont re-post that.
Short Video
Unfortunately I didnt get a graph with torque, but it will come from the next dyno-day. The guy who owns the dyno says that the numbers are 10% below what they really are, so assume 195hp instead of 178hp.

Hehe, this car is yet to visit Tambourine mountain since its modifications.
We should cruise up there sometime.

Great 75 Mezevenf! I bet you could count the number of glenwood powered 75's in Oz on one hand, great sound, got/built yourself one nice 75 there! I think the duco is best colour (Champagne Silver?) on 75 too. Is that an oil catch can near intake filter? What brand/price etc its i good size for what i want on my gtv.

Mezevenf,
She looks great mate... champagne 75s are the horn.. and you've done some smart stuff to her as well- good stuff!
You should tag along with MD to the Alfa Club thing @ Palmer's Island/Yamba in three weeks... I plan on making the drive up from Coffs- it's literally half way between the Goldie and Coffs... we can driblle alfa sheeite together... of course!

Hehe, too right matt, the total of 1 glenwood powered 75 in Australia and (I think) 2 GTV6's. And that is an oil catch can there, a vent-to-atmosphere type (illegal here)
Thanks for the compliments on the colour guys! I'm having the Veloce kit painted soon and then I'll fit it.
Got any more details on that trip MD or Julian? Sounds like fun, I wanna see your GTV6's.

Bernard,
Two questions:
1. I was noting that you have good ground clearance, but then it struck me why. Where the heck is the exhaust system in that under-carriage shot?
2. Somehow the wheels+tires look kind of big (circumference). What size tires are you running? Non-stock circumference?
Jes

Mezevenf,
Congratulations top car mate!
Please give us some feedback and your personal thoughts of the Glenwood motor / experience ....
Are you happy with the power output or did you expect more?
John.
(p.s. maybe post it in the vendor product review)

1. Well, have you seen that exhaust video of mine? Heres a link to another thread, plenty of detail in the exhaust side of things. The lowest part of the exhaust (attached photo, side view) has a skid-plate welded onto it, because it is the part that tends to kiss the ground the most, so when that wears down a new plate can just be welded in its place. Protects my $2000 exaust system. I am also missing the cats, so theres more room in that regard too!
Oh, and there wasnt even an engine installed in that under-carriage shot
2. Yes, they are kind of big, I dont really like them that size. They are Falken Azenis 205/50R16's, and they are rather large compared to other 205/50 I've seen. My front bumper has actually had a bit of it cut away to allow them room, but after I go through this set I have to decide on what size to run, because as is I wont be able to install my Veloce kit with these tyres unless I cut it aswell, which I'm not going to do. They are only about 2-3cm larger in diameter though.
John,
I will do a write-up sometime soon, was a long experience I am happy with the power output, although I was told it would be more. I will take it to another dyno to confirm figures too.
