Twinspark Engine

Post by ryn079 »

Hello, I have a 164 with a 2 ltr T.S engine. The engine has been still for quite sometime, and I do not know the condition of the oil as i bought the car second hand. I was thinking of draining the engine and re-fill with some good oil. should i take any precautions since the car has been unused for quite some time?

I am also finding it impossible to retreive some techincal information on this engine, like what compression should the engine have, what is the fuel pressure, how am i to check the timing chain and replace if necessary etc. Can any body help please....I am desperate.

Thanks

Ryan

Thanks for the information, but I do not think that my engine which develops 150 bhp is covered in those manuals. I need some kind of manual which can give me engine tolerances if i will be doing an overhaul and procedures how to dismantle the engine, etc.

The engine in the 75ts 2l is in aprox. 150bhp and of course lesser where catalytic cleaning is mounted just as the 164.
Good luck
