Clutch issue on 75 2,0 TS
Something strange has happened.
I bought a clutch disc for my TS and when I took the old one out the sizes didn´t match at all!!!
The new one has 215mm and the one I took out was 200mm
How can this things happen?!
I had to refurbish the old one with new Ferodo rings and put it back in place (works perfect though).
Now what am I supposed to do with the 215mm one? Is it the wrong one or is the 200mm not from that GB in the first place?!
I´m quite confused and I´m not sure if I can take the 200mm back to the store.
What size are yours? (75 Ts guys especially)

I just talked to the previous owner.
The thing is that he throwed the complete set (Rear flywheel, clutch disc and actuator) from a 1600 into the TS Gear Box.
He thougth it would make it rev easier since de flywheel is smaller.
The only thing that got faster was the clutch disc wearing process

He would be RIGHT if the car wasn´t ment to be raced as he is...
I´m quite sure this could work fine on a road going car but this is not the case.
Maybe I should go for a swap between my two 75 and swap the stock GB into the race car...
But first...let´s see if it holds the pressure on track.
PS:
Thanks Micke
But what is a sintered disk?

Something like this:
http://www.performatek.com/Alfa/Drive%2 ... rung02.jpg
They should be available locally or a racing shop can make it from the 1.6 disk.
I have a 2.0 group N pressure plate from Sachs. Maybe it is available for the 1.6 as well.
BTW, shipping isn't that bad as long as you use a slooooow one. It takes ages to get the stuff over alaska and siberia but the price is right.
