I guess I love the three piece style with a reasonable lip or even better, a deep dish- gives an illusion of depth I think.

I wouldn't be seen with a chrome centered wheel- either a dull natural aluminium or painted centre finish.

And you dont buy wheels like that in Australia, unless you've got the subsstance to back up the stance.... there's a few street driven rotaries that will lift the front wheels off a set of traffic lights, on their way to a high 10second quarter on street rubber....

B45 16s are nice, but you can go past the OM and FRs in 17'- and you can get them made so that the dish is right out there...

Do you think 16 inch is the largest one should go or do you think 17 inch is ok. What about width? 7.5 max. I don't want my tires to scrape. Its there a proven standard for these cars. IE: AMG has a standard for Mercedes for their set up and everyone copies this??

I do like the deep dish wheels. I saw one some on a 575 and it looked awesome. Finally, I want to have a light wheel. Do you know who has the lightest wheels for this Alfa??

Regarding width I think 8" would work fine in front and 9" at the back, if you got the correct offset (ET). ET should be 35-40mm. I haven't tested this myself but been told that this would look good without thouching the wheelsarches.

17" should not be a problem either if the ET is correct, many GTV6's in Europe are using this. However I've seen a GTV6 with 8x17" rims with 20mm ET that touched the wheelarces, but that was probably due to wrong offset.

Hello,

Well I am researching the wheels still, pretty much figured out how we are going to detail the engine compartment with the new harness (gotech) and recover all existing wires in the engine bay. I am studying the rack & pinion parts and going to determine how to service this.

The exterior body work it now completed and we have polished the car. The exterior looks as good as new. This is good and bad. The bad part is I need to redo all the chrome, badges, grills, etc since they do not look good against the new paint. This is going to take at least another 2 weeks and I need to source some items. I am still missing the passanger door lock

We are putting the car on Jack stands now to remove all the suspension parts and detail the under carriage. Finally, the main engine modifications have been completed. The parts just need to be fine tuned, cleaned, and painted. I need to thank Jungle Justice for this part of the modification since it is included in my engine that I purchase.

I am posting the engine pictures to show my progess to date.

Hello Everyone,

Well, the body is done

Just need to find a passanger door handle & determine if I like the way the 2 side trianges & the 2 front window vents look. I think they came originally bumpy so when we painted them they don't look smooth. Is everyone's GTV6 trianges & front window vents bumpy

Please advise. My associates wants to get new ones but I think they are all like this.

I will post some more pictures of the body work when we move the car to better lightening so the actual color will show. Next week I hope to have the interior done. Only if they can do the interior in 2 weeks will we tow the car there. If not, I will wait for 2 weeks since the engine and suspension is planned to be started the 2nd week of December. The Parts should arive by then.

I was happy to get some progress pictures of my glenwood engine from Jungle Justice today. I am really impressed by his professionalism. He is keeping his promise to me and making me look good to my associates.

Here are the pictures of my engine valve covers, plen., cam follower, and GTA cams. Jungle Justice wanted to point out to me the landing on the GTA cams. Looks good. Cann't wait to hear the engine start up. The new 44mm intakes are here and the engine is moving ahead as planned. The best part is the engine looks new as shown in the picture. Nice a clean.

Well I did not work on the Alfa this weekend personally. I did get some more progress pictures of the Glenwood Engine being completed and I thought I would post them. I am really excited about this project actually getting closer to being finished without any crazy problems. Thanks again for looking a my Alfa.

Hello Everyone,

Had a chance to go by the warehouse and met with my associates to go over the final detailing of the body. Just compared the new rubber gasket samples to the existing ones to make sure they look ok. Will know tomorrow since we put the original rubber seals back on to see how they look. Of couse we need the new ones since some of them have shrank. We moved the Alfa to a little better light and I am posting some pictures of the completed body work to share with the Forum. Still needs a alittle more detailing but I am very happy with the body work.

C,If I may..next cam cover you do the oil filler on,have the guy weld the adaptor from UNDERNEATH..that way it looks good ,no welding on the outside..

Hello Everyone,

I am back. Two weeks have gone by and I have a big crate with my new engine at the warehouse. I also should have all the parts today. JJ drove them down from G2 and I think he has the Transmission as well. I could be wrong. We are going to start working on the Alfa starting tomorrow and see how far we get.

Frogall: The Valve covers are covered in a non ceramic black.

Barry: Thanks for the suggestion. I have not seen the cover yet but I did mention that the back cover did not look good. I will remember to have the guy weld from the inside next time when I do my next project.

I will post some more pictures later after I get off work.
