164 Heads on a Verde 3.0 ltr Block

Post by brookstroutr »

Hey,

I'm starting my 3.0 ltr motor conversion for power as I'm finishing the suspension and brake upgrades. I've got access for a Verde 3.0 ltr block and 164 3.0 ltr cylinder heads. I know the distributor housing has to be capped off on the 164 head. Will these heads fit the Verde block without too much mods or what mods are needed?

Hi,If you do a search you will find the topic has been covered..

Briefly, head stud outer holes need to be ream larger, dowel pins need to be offset slightly, shorter studs need to be fitted..
French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.

Thanks. I tried, but couldn't find this by searching - being tired as hell didn't help. It looks like I'll stick with the Verde heads.

Zman,To retro fit the 2 heads tkes a few minor mods..thats about it..
Sometimes you run into hassles with the crank gear as well, but thats minor..
