Had a break from work and went to the shop to install the dash into the Alfa to complete the interior. The dash was really tight to install since the Leather dash has more volume. It took alittle longer than we thought but we were carefully so that the dash would not be damaged. Lucky there is only 4 bolts to hold the dash in. There was alot of Ground Wires on the drivers side bolt which was difficult to secure. I am wondering if these are stock?
Here are some picture of the install before instruments.\

We were also able to start the trunk area. We made a flap to access the battery without taking the whole carpet up. We will also be making a special cover for the spare wheel. The Carpet is molded to fit as close a possible to the original carpeting. Just need to get the new drivers side and passanger side weather stripping and were good to go. We are sorting the electrical issues for the windows, lights, and mirrors. Hopefully, it just fuses.
Brake Light does not work and on inspection we realized that when the brake boaster was swapped the switch that operates the peddle stop was about 3 inches from the correct position to operate. I think that we need to make a special mount to reposition this. Any suggestions on what others have done?
We are hoping that the all interior stuff along with the windows installed will be finished by next week.

I stopped by the Shop to check on the Alfa and things are almost finished with the interior. The Dash and all the equipment is in place and will be checked one more time but everything is basically done. We were going to put the Gotech box in the same location where the old computer was but decided against this since we would have to take off the leather cover each time to hook up to the laptop. Therefore, we are putting the box on the package tray and will hold it down with screws. I will make a leather cover to hide it. This way we can just hook up to the computer with no problem.
The center console has been redone in black and we have made new rug cut outs as well as a new boot for the shifter. The next step is to put in the front seats, new door molding, windows, etc and were done.
Here are pictures of this and its just too bad that the Alfa still does not start correctly, brakes need to be tweaked, clutch slips, and then we can start tuning up the Alfa and finally drive it. Hopefully, this will not take us too much longer to address the final mechnical issues.

82 Alfa Romeo GTV6 Mod
Worked on the Alfa a little yesterday and this morning. I was going to put in the new solonid to see if this is why the alfa is having a problem kicking over but I want to reseach this futher. I think we need to have a High Performance starter rather than the one we have. Does anyone know if there is such a part out there? It is so frustrating that the Alfa drags even with the new battery.
The interior is 95% done and just need to do some final touches. We could have moved the Alfa back to the warehouse for the final details on the body work but decided not to do this. I need to find a good mechanic that is willing to work on my modified alfa. does anyone know of any good mechanics that may work on this Alfa? Here are some more progress pictures of the interior

We cleaned up the Alfa a little after the front and rear windows were installed. Next week I will decide on the plan to complete the outstanding issues and then hopefully we can drive the Alfa to events. Here are the last pictures of the progress.

Hello Forum,
We have been able to finally locate the final interior missing parts. Just waiting for one last clip that was not put in the last shipment. Thank you 5 year plan for the parts.
Joe will finish the last details for the interior and then off to finish the mechanical issues and were done. Looks like it took one year to do this project and I hope to post the dynotune figures very soon. I also hope to have a real camera for some better pictures.

Well we are still working on the interior. I have one question. Can someone tell us or post a picture of the position of the handstraps to help one get out of the Alfa. We think they go in the rear to help the passanger get out. I would hate to have to do the headliner again. Thank you for your help.
