Rough specs? Grp N vs normal williams? Is that the 150hp williams?JimGreek wrote:All right Z, I did even better; I just sent you the Williams GpN profile curve (and the std 3liter 24v curve for reference) which is even better than the std Williams 3liter profile, with a bit more lift and duration. A 24-valver should kick ass with this bumpstick!

Contemplating getting the cams for my 24valver re-ground before I put it in anything...

Great, i'll be standing by then, usually you guys aim at may-june right?JimGreek wrote:If RSR is still around and the prices are about the same, I should be able to make it. Things will clear up in a month or two so we'll have a better picture and understanding of the situation.

Sorry didn't read his topic well enough, also didn't look long at the pic. Off course there are almost no leaves on the trees, this was a picture of the que in 20-8-2006, it was a reference of how long the Que for the year ticket could be.JimGreek wrote:WHAT?? Where's the snow??

But to compensate I have a pic of last sunday the 16th
The fun part of the weather around here is that it can change fast. About a week ago temps went just above zero and it suddenly started melting + a lot of rain helped also. Yesterday it was even ~10* C at my place , so the perfect ring whether...
The weather forecast says frost again by the end of this week, so enough with the teasing
We'll see how the ring develops, of course everything becomes a lot more expensive. So like the most, we 'll have to find a way and get creative with our budget to satisfy our addiction
What RSR is going to do, I don't know, but there is always a way to get around rules, people are creative. Ron will battle to get his right, as this is his income.

Re: JK's v6 book
Jim,
The stock oil pump and bottom end, is it good for 7500rpm runs? This is assuming the bottom end is properly balanced. This is for the 24V not for the 12V. The 12V I've limited it to 7000 rpm only. It actually makes power upto 6900 rpm (on the dyno).

Re: JK's v6 book
Z,
I have done countless laps with 7200rpm shifts in the 12v 3liter engine. No problem ever with oil pressure. Of course, all clearances are proper and the pump is reworked with minimized clearances, enlarged main gallery (there's a nasty kink in there), a properly sealing relief valve and there's a 13-row cooler with thermostatic sandwich plate. Oil presure is ~4bar (58psi) hot. Balancing is only part of the equation; I place much more importance in proper main/rod clrearances. I would think the 24v should be exactly the same, only with more revving capacity -no rockers! Yes, 7500rpm in a properly built 24v is a joke when you think of the short stroke of these engines.
Speaking of 24v, we fired up my 24v engine today, the one that's been sitting around waiting for a home! It fired up with the first turn of the key, but we shut it down after ~10" as only the headers are on...no exhaust! Its going to the exhaust shop on Friday, then ~2000km and mapping/dyno of the std Motronic ecu (164Q4). With the few mods it has, I expect to see somewhere around 270hp (engine). We'll know soon and I'll post in a different thread.

I doubt Jim would have been busy getting a 155 V6 out of hibernation again.kevin wrote:Geez Mats where you been , same hideout as Jim

Re: JK's v6 book
I checked the publisher's site (Veloce Publishing) and it says it will start selling in July. That's all the info I have right now.
I'm currently messing with a lot of different things (trying different upgrade recipes for the 1.8T, the 3liter 24v and ordering parts for a godzilla 3.2 24v) and since the book left my hands months ago, I haven't followed its progress.
