Transaxle Brake Kit
This weekend the prototype of the professionally designed transaxle brake kit by Group2/Girodisc was installed on my milano as the final verification of their development.
I have no financial interest in this and only contribute my car as test bed and feedback from tracking the car.
The kit fits under standard 15" wheels (although mine has 16"). Not sure if it fits under smaller wheels - check with Group2 (www.group2inc.com).
Anyway, it has slightly larger rotors up front, new 4 piston front calipers, vented rear rotors (ala SZ), rebuilt spaced (for the vented rotors) stock rear calipers, stainless flex lines. All rotors are two-piece floating!!! and zinc coated.
Although I have only put some 100 miles on the kit and have barely worn off the zinc coating, it is an obvious improvement over stock - much better grip, and much better pedal feel. With the milano I always tried to keep extra distance due to the (lack of) confidence in the brakes - that concern is gone! Can't wait to take it on the track in about 2 weeks.
I shot some pics during the install by Martin and Eric of Girodisc (www.girodisc.com), see below. Their design was a perfect fit - these guys know their stuff.

The brake kit was carefully designed by Girodisc NOT to change the brake balance, and hence no need to change MC or brake porportioning valve.
