Hi guys!
Here are two pictures of the black junction I´m wondering about. My suspition is that it has had something to do with the old L-jet stem. It has a few wires missing and doesn´t seem to be "in play".
If someone could verify it I´d be greatful.
Here´s a pic with it closed and one with fromt off.

On my 75t it is the wiring for the alternator, one side is B+ and the other is alternator+ (i.e. when the engine/alternator is running is is 12v positive).

Ok, Mats.
So the question then, is:
Is the Motronic handeling it now then? Since there are a few wires missing in it, I suspect they came from the old L-jet loom, but this I don´t remember.
Anyone else who has any idea?

This is not even in the engine loom, maybe there is a connection on one of the terminals but the box is essentially in the base power distribution system Battery/Alternator/(Starter motor?).
I'll try to remember to look under the hood of a (somewhat standard) GTV6 in the garage tonight. But my memory is crappy so don't hold your breath.

I take it Barry was talking about the thin BLACK wire. Barry, can You help us out here?
Seb
The thick black wires that connect to the male spade connector are the ign. power from ign. switch to the solenoid.Turn key, solenoid pulls in-disconnect at this junction, solenoid dont work.
The thin white wire comes from neg. coil.Test this for continuity with a dmm .It lets the l-jet know when to fire the injectors. The l-jet loom has a wire with an eyelett that attaches to this junction. It goes to pin 1 on the ecu plug. Can also be checked with a dmm.(Digital multimeter.............)
Barry
French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.
OK, thanks Barry, You´re a rock!
Since I´m using Motronic from 164QV now, I could disregard the white one then? The Motronic ECU should handle it right?
The black ones, I could just connect with eachother then, to get rid of the black connector?
Sorry about all the Q´s!

hi just wanted to ask why did you just go and get a haltech ecu with a new wiring loom and rewire the motor starting from there.
i have hear the the orginal computer out of the 164 and the gtv6 r ok but you can get better tuning from a haltech or some after market ecu
i am currently doing the same conversion with a few extra things
and have found your info very constructive
thanks

Seb, if you got a Dastek agent for the unichip over there it would be your cheapest option to chip the Motronic. I had it done on 24v motor with excellent results but not good as the Haltec I had done later on. The Haltec cost me 12 times more than the unichip with a approx 8% more power at the moment.
